If your client receives a pop-up box with the error "This invite is invalid" the first thing to check is the email address.
This is because the invite can only be redeemed by the email address it was sent to.
The recipient must register on the Strengths Profile site with the same email address that you have sent the invitation to.
If they have used a personal email address to create their Strengths Profile account for example, and you sent the invite to their work email then this would invalidate the invite and cause the pop-up error.
If your client receives this error, you will need to:
- Log in to your Strengths Profile account
- Go to either the Invites list or the Group depending on where you sent the invite from
- Check the email address showing on the invite.
If the email address was copied and pasted in, there may be an error stopping the invite from being accessed correctly. This could be extra characters before or after the address.
For example, the correct email could be calum.test@cappfinity.com but if it was copied and pasted it may show as Calum Test <calum.test@cappfinity.com> which is the incorrect format and also cause the error.
To correct the email address on the invitation:
- Click Individual Options (right-hand side of the recipient’s name) then select Cancel Invitation
- Resend the invite using the correct email format
